We are made in the image of God, but we are so stuck in one time, thinking about another time. Maybe we need to be more God-like in how we view ourselves in time, meaning everything about us is at once.
This idea of progressing, of journeying, is helpful in being gracious to ourselves. But, it’s misleading. Because we don’t need grace for the journey – we need God.
All we need is God.
And if we have God, we already have all grace and Love and Light. There’s no striving or growing necessary.
God-time isn’t the absence of time, but all-time. Wouldn’t the Light of Heaven explode through any barrier of misunderstanding, or temporal concerns on “this side” of things? If we accept God’s god-ness, wouldn’t our known “future” (His “being”) impact how we think, act, and feel now? More than that, the best way I can say it is wouldn’t all of our non-Divine be annihilated in the Light and heat of God’s presence, leaving Love and our God-image? Our real selves?
“Becoming” and “progress” matter so little when the truth of God, and us, and Love are visible. Be-ing and Union remain.
